Lula holds a modest lead in Amapá first-round trading at 56%, with Flávio Bolsonaro at 44.5% and all other candidates at or below 50%, reflecting the tight contest shown in recent state surveys. Incumbent advantages in northern states, combined with steady approval ratings around 50% locally, support Lula’s positioning, while Flávio Bolsonaro draws consolidated right-leaning support and benefits from national polarization. Recent polls, including a late-August Quaest survey, placed Lula at 36% and Flávio at 33%, with substantial undecided and blank votes that could shift outcomes before the October 4 vote. Campaign activity in the region and ongoing national debates over institutions keep the race competitive, as small swings in turnout or late momentum could alter the first-place result within the margin of error.
