Paul St-Pierre Plamondon of the Parti Québécois leads the market at 71% amid consistent polling advantages for his party ahead of the October 5, 2026, provincial election, with recent August surveys placing PQ support at 30-31% compared to 24-27% for the Liberals and 19-21% for the CAQ. His edge reflects sustained gains among francophone voters and stronger personal ratings as the preferred premier choice in multiple surveys. Christine Fréchette, who became CAQ leader and premier in April 2026 after François Legault’s departure, holds 13% as her party’s initial post-leadership momentum has faded in recent months. Charles Milliard, leading the Quebec Liberals, sits at 16% in a competitive but trailing position. Minor candidates remain near zero due to their parties’ limited projected seat totals and voter support. Trader consensus tracks these shifts in voting intentions and leadership favorability without assuming final outcomes.
