Dexter McCoy holds an overwhelming 89.5% implied probability in the 2026 Fort Bend County Judge general election, while Republican nominee and interim judge Daniel Wong sits at 8.5%. McCoy secured the Democratic nomination after winning his May runoff by a wide margin as Precinct 4 commissioner, positioning him against Wong, who prevailed decisively in the March Republican primary. Ongoing partisan disputes over Wong’s interim appointment—stemming from a now-dismissed civil case against former judge KP George, who faced felony conviction—have fueled legal challenges and commissioners court walkouts, with Democratic commissioners questioning Wong’s authority into September. Recent budget approval amid these tensions has not shifted the market’s assessment of McCoy’s stronger path to victory on November 3.
