**Official forecasts from GFS and other models point to a daytime maximum of 16–18°C in Cape Town on September 16, 2026, following overnight showers and under building high pressure with moderate to strong southerly winds.** These conditions favor modest afternoon warming without strong warm advection or clear-sky radiative heating extremes. Multiple sources show peaks near 16°C at Cape Town International Airport and surrounding stations, consistent with typical early-spring climatology for the region (monthly means around 14–16°C). Trader emphasis on 17–18°C reflects model consensus and recent clearing trends, while lower outcomes remain possible if onshore flow or residual cloud cover persists. Resolution will hinge on the official daily maximum reported by the South African Weather Service.
