Latest National Weather Service and private model guidance for Atlanta on September 16 points to sunny skies under high pressure with light easterly winds and drier air, supporting afternoon highs near 90°F after recent days in the low-to-mid 90s. This setup favors the 90-91°F bin as the modal outcome while keeping 88-89°F competitive, consistent with historical late-summer patterns and the seasonal average high of 83°F. Limited cloud cover or moisture return could nudge temperatures slightly higher or lower within the narrow 88-92°F window, but no significant frontal passage or instability is expected to alter the trajectory before the daily maximum is recorded.
