Recent polling aggregates and seat models show the CAQ projected near 19–23 seats amid a tight popular vote race with the PQ and Liberals, reflecting voter fatigue with the incumbent after eight years in power. Attacks during the first leaders’ debate on spending overruns, project management issues, and economic performance have kept CAQ support fragmented across regions, limiting vote efficiency in key ridings. High incumbent retirements and a compressed five-week campaign add volatility to seat outcomes. Traders appear to weigh the possibility of late swings or stronger regional pockets pushing the CAQ above 30 seats against the more probable range of 20–29, with the second debate and final polling waves likely to clarify the distribution before the October 5 vote.
