Forecasters monitor whether a weak ridge promotes clearer skies and modest insolation or whether increased cloud cover and northerly flow cap temperatures at 20°C. Ensemble spreads from ECMWF and GFS highlight sensitivity to exact timing of any diurnal peak, while historical analogs show similar late-summer setups rarely exceed 23°C without strong southerly flow. New model runs expected overnight will refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
