This aligns with pre-event SAWS forecasts projecting maxima near 19°C under partly cloudy skies, light northwesterly winds, and typical autumn cooling patterns, where seasonal averages hover around 22°C but cooler air masses suppressed peaks. Historical May data at the airport shows similar subdued highs during transitional weather, with no model disagreements. Realistic challenges are minimal post-measurement, limited to rare quality-control revisions from instrument anomalies, though SAWS data is highly reliable; final bulletins typically affirm initial reports within 24 hours.
