The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day by the Forecast for the Shanghai Pudong International Airport Station once information is finalized, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/cn/shanghai/ZSPD. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Hourly METAR observations from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, the market's resolution source via Wunderground archives, confirm the day's peak temperature at exactly 24°C during mid-morning under partly cloudy skies, with subsequent readings cooling to 21°C amid persistent broken clouds and high humidity. This aligns with cloud-induced suppression of solar insolation, overriding earlier China Meteorological Administration forecasts projecting up to 27°C amid typical mid-May warming trends averaging 25–26°C. Trader consensus at 100% implied probability for 24°C reflects real-time data dominance over models. Realistic challenges include late-afternoon clearing boosting temperatures before sunset, though diminishing solar angles make exceedance unlikely; final daily archive expected soon.
