Multiple candidates remain closely matched in polls for the second Rio de Janeiro Senate seat, with Benedita da Silva holding a clearer edge for first place. Recent surveys from July 2026 show Marcelo Crivella ahead of a pack that includes Carlos Portinho, Carlos Jordy, Pedro Paulo, and Mônica Benício, while earlier withdrawals by Flávio Bolsonaro and Cláudio Castro have left the contest fragmented across parties. This open field, combined with high undecided shares and similar support levels among right-leaning and center options, sustains balanced trader pricing. Upcoming campaign events, additional polling releases, or shifts in party alliances before the October vote could consolidate support and widen gaps among the contenders.
