Current forecasts from multiple models indicate a high in the low-to-mid 90s°F for Houston on September 14, driven by a warm, humid air mass under light southeast winds and partly to mostly sunny skies, with a 30-40% chance of afternoon thunderstorms that could limit peak heating. This aligns with the market's concentration on 92-93°F (48.5%) and adjacent bins, as the pattern follows today's observed mid-90s readings and typical early-September climatology near the 89.6°F average high. Elevated heat indices near 108°F reflect high moisture content rather than extreme dry-bulb temperatures, while historical records show 98°F as the September 14 maximum. Official verification will come from National Weather Service stations, with no major synoptic shifts expected before resolution.
