**Forecast consensus from the Met Office and multiple models points to a September 6 maximum near 26°C in London, driven by a southerly airflow advecting milder air ahead of an approaching front.** Partly cloudy skies with light to moderate southerly winds (around 10–15 km/h) and low precipitation chances should allow sufficient daytime heating above the seasonal average of 21°C, while limited insolation from variable cloud prevents a stronger push toward 28°C or higher. Recent observations show September 5 highs of 21–23°C under westerly flow, with the shift to southerlies expected to add several degrees. Trader positioning around 25–27°C reflects model agreement on this range, with resolution hinging on official Met Office or equivalent station readings accounting for urban effects. New forecast updates overnight and on the morning of September 6 could refine the exact peak if cloud or wind details shift.
