The Quebec provincial election campaign in Maskinongé launched in late August 2026, pitting CAQ incumbent Simon Allaire against PQ candidate Isabelle Blais, PLQ nominee Nancy Mignault, QS repeat contender Simon Piotte, PCQ entrant Marc-André Cloutier, and an independent. Allaire's decision to seek another term after initially stepping aside, combined with Blais's profile as a local actress and the presence of multiple established parties, has kept the race fragmented. Trader consensus reflects this balance, with no single candidate or party pulling decisively ahead in early campaign signals or regional polling trends. Scheduled advance voting in late September and the October 5 general election date could introduce separation through turnout patterns, local issue emphasis on services and the economy, or last-minute developments in the broader provincial contest.
