The 2026 Cameron County Judge election will be held on November 3, 2026, to elect the County Judge of Cameron County, TX. If the result of this election isn't known by April 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to “Other.” The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting; however, if there is any ambiguity in the results, this market will resolve according to official information from the State of Texas and Cameron County.Cameron County’s 2026 judge race tightened after the late-May Democratic primary runoff, where challenger Esteban “Steve” Guerra defeated three-term incumbent Eddie Treviño Jr. by roughly 55% to 45%, securing the nomination. Guerra, former Port of Brownsville board chair, now faces Republican nominee Mauro Garza in the November general election. Cameron County’s strong Democratic voter base normally favors the party nominee, yet traders price both Guerra and Garza near even odds amid limited polling, turnout questions in a non-presidential year, and local economic priorities such as port expansion and job growth that could influence crossover support. No major new developments have emerged since the runoff, leaving the contest dependent on fall campaign momentum, fundraising, and any late shifts in voter sentiment before Election Day.
