These temperatures sit near the lower end of mid-May climatological normals of 17–19 °C recorded by the German Weather Service, reflecting modest cool advection from the Atlantic rather than warmer southerly return flow. Model consensus shows limited spread, with any cloud cover or delayed warming potentially capping the peak at 15 °C or allowing brief clearing to push it to 17 °C. Official resolution will use the Munich Airport station reading, and updated guidance later today could refine the final bracket.
