Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Hong Kong Observatory's official observations confirm the daily minimum air temperature at its Kowloon headquarters reached exactly 26°C on May 14, 2026, driving unanimous trader consensus with 100% implied probability on this outcome. Persistent cloud cover from a nearby low-pressure trough, coupled with thunderstorm activity and high humidity, inhibited radiative cooling overnight, while the urban heat island amplified warmth—conditions aligning with May climatology where minimums average 25-27°C per 30-year normals. Preceding 9-day forecasts from HKO accurately projected this level amid normal-to-above-normal seasonal temperatures. Post-measurement revisions are exceedingly rare, but could theoretically arise from data validation errors; no such updates are anticipated.
