This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 16 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Max (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Trader sentiment clusters tightly around 28–29°C for Hong Kong’s June 16 maximum because official Hong Kong Observatory guidance and multi-model consensus place the peak squarely in that narrow band amid widespread showers and thunderstorms. Persistent cloud cover and rainfall expected through the period will suppress insolation and limit afternoon heating, while southeasterly flow and high humidity (80–95 %) keep the boundary layer moist and reduce the diurnal temperature range. Seasonal forecasts already call for above-normal temperatures overall, yet short-term model runs show modest spread driven by the precise timing and coverage of convective cells; any break in cloud or delayed rain could briefly allow readings to reach 30 °C, whereas sustained showers would cap the day nearer 27 °C. With resolution hinging on the official daily maximum recorded at the Hong Kong Observatory headquarters, traders are effectively pricing the most probable outcome of this narrow forecast envelope.
