The 2026 Brazilian presidential first round on October 4 features a crowded field where national frontrunners Lula of the Workers' Party and Flávio Bolsonaro of the Liberal Party remain closely matched in polling averages, including Amazonas-specific surveys showing Lula ahead but within margins that leave room for shifts. Regional dynamics in the northern state, including voter priorities on Amazon environmental policy, security, and economic development, contribute to the tight positioning across multiple contenders such as Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, and others polling in single digits nationally. The broad distribution of market probabilities reflects uncertainty over turnout patterns, potential late alliances, and state-level variations that could determine the top finisher without a decisive national frontrunner advantage.
