Any replacement of the nominees before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Kevin Kiley, running as an independent after switching from the Republican Party, and Democrat Richard Pan advanced from California's June 2, 2026, top-two primary in the newly redrawn 6th Congressional District. Redistricting shifted the Sacramento-area seat, prompting former incumbent Ami Bera to run elsewhere and drawing multiple Democratic challengers including Thien Ho, Lauren Babb Tomlinson, and Martha Guerrero. Vote splitting among Democrats combined with Kiley's name recognition allowed the two to secure the highest shares despite a fragmented field. Trader consensus on these outcomes reflects the primary results and California's nonpartisan primary rules, with the general election now set for November. No further primary developments remain.
