Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Seattle indicate overnight lows in the mid-50s on September 3 amid an early-September storm system delivering widespread rain, southerly winds, and persistent cloud cover. These conditions limit radiative cooling at night, supporting minimum temperatures near the 55°F historical average rather than sharper drops under clear skies. Trader sentiment clusters tightly around the 52–57°F bins because subtle differences in model timing for rain tapering, wind shifts, or partial clearing could determine whether the official low falls into the 52–53°F, 54–55°F, or 56–57°F range. Updated NWS guidance and local observations tomorrow morning will likely resolve the narrow spread.
