Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Slovenia on March 22, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially elected by the National Assembly (Državni zbor) and sworn in as Prime Minister of Slovenia following the next parliamentary election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is sworn in by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Slovenia; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Following Slovenia's March 2026 parliamentary elections, where Prime Minister Robert Golob's Freedom Movement narrowly led but failed to secure a coalition by April 20, trader consensus has solidified around Janez Janša of the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) at 92% implied probability for next prime minister. President Nataša Pirc Musar tasked lawmakers on April 25 to nominate a viable candidate amid stalled talks, propelling Janša's center-right negotiations with the Democratic Party (Demokrati) and the NSi–SLS–Fokus alliance, which reached 95% agreement completion as of May 12. This momentum, reflecting SDS's strong post-election positioning and cross-party support for a majority in the 90-seat National Assembly, drives the commanding odds. Realistic challenges include final negotiation breakdowns, a failed confidence vote, presidential rejection, or deadlock triggering snap elections.
