National Weather Service forecasts call for mostly sunny skies and a high near 101°F in Dallas on September 17 under persistent high pressure and light southerly flow, with heat indices reaching 105–106°F. Multiple model runs and local outlooks converge on maxima of 98–101°F amid ongoing late-summer warmth, though slight variations in cloud cover or boundary-layer mixing could shift the exact peak by a degree or two. Recent triple-digit readings across North Texas reflect the same stable pattern, supporting trader emphasis on the 98–99°F bin while leaving modest room for 100–101°F outcomes if daytime heating exceeds guidance. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations tomorrow will provide the final data for market resolution.
