In the Nicolet-Bécancour riding, trader sentiment reflects a tight three-way contest among incumbent Donald Martel of the Coalition Avenir Québec, Jérôme Gagnon of the Parti Québécois, and Guillaume Langlois of the Parti Conservateur du Québec, with projections from models such as 338Canada showing popular vote shares clustered in the mid-to-high 20s percent range as of late August 2026. The race remains closely balanced due to provincial trends fragmenting support away from the CAQ, combined with competitive local nominations completed earlier in the year and the absence of decisive polling or events that would consolidate preferences ahead of the October 5 election. Additional candidates including Sophie Martinbeault of the Quebec Liberal Party add further uncertainty, while the September 17 nomination deadline and ongoing campaign developments could shift momentum through targeted voter outreach or party positioning in this Centre-du-Québec district.
