Morning observations at Denver International Airport (KDEN) already reached mid-60s°F with low dewpoints enabling efficient solar heating, aligning with model ensembles (GFS, ECMWF) showing upper-80s peaks—well above the May climatological average of 70°F and approaching the 87°F record from 2013. This follows a sharp warm-up from snow last week. Realistic challenges include isolated afternoon thunderstorms increasing cloud cover or a rare convective outflow capping temperatures below 78°F, though probabilities remain under 5% per guidance; monitor hourly KBKF station data for resolution.
