Recent Swedish opinion polls show Vänsterpartiet and Kristdemokraterna trading narrow leads within a few points of each other ahead of the September 13 Riksdag election, supporting trader consensus around a slim edge for V receiving more votes. Both parties hover near 6–8% in surveys from firms including Novus and Demoskop, with V drawing support from the red-green opposition bloc and KD from the governing Tidö parties. Competitive balance stems from limited recent catalysts, overlapping voter bases on economic and welfare issues, and the 4% threshold that amplifies small shifts in preference flows or turnout. Scheduled debates, economic data releases, or late adjustments in bloc alignments over the coming weeks could alter the final ordering.
