Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Sweden on September 13, 2026. Each market will resolve to "Yes" if the specified party receives at least one seat in the Swedish Riksdag as a result of the 2026 Swedish parliamentary elections. Otherwise that market will resolve to "No". Seats will be counted only where they are attributed to the specified party. Seats attributed to another party or electoral designation will not count, regardless of electoral cooperation, endorsements, coalition agreements, or subsequent parliamentary-group arrangements. If the specified party formally merges into a successor party before the election and does not contest separately, seats officially attributed to that successor party will count. If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, each market will resolve to "No". Each market's resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the specified party in this election. This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Swedish government, specifically the Swedish Election Authority (Valmyndigheten) (https://www.val.se/).**Sweden's September 13, 2026, parliamentary election produced a narrow centre-left victory and confirmed seats for all eight established parties in the 349-seat Riksdag.** Preliminary counts showed the Social Democrats-led opposition bloc (Social Democrats, Left Party, Centre Party, Greens) ahead by one seat at 175–174 over the incumbent right-wing grouping (Moderates, Christian Democrats, Liberals backed by the Sweden Democrats). All parties cleared the 4% national threshold, with the Liberals reaching roughly 5.3–5.4% after polling near or below it in earlier surveys. The Social Democrats remained the largest party at about 28%, while the Sweden Democrats fell to around 17.5% (down from 2022). The campaign centred on crime, immigration, the economy, and security, with late tightening of the blocs driven by shifts among undecided voters and stronger-than-expected Liberal performance. Final seat allocation awaits completion of late and overseas ballot counting, expected shortly.
