Democratic incumbent Joe Neguse holds a commanding position in Colorado's 2nd congressional district due to the area's strong Democratic lean, reflected in a Cook Partisan Voting Index around D+20 and consistent results in prior cycles. Neguse faces no primary opposition and benefits from high name recognition as assistant House minority leader, while Republican nominee Kelley Dennison emerged from a low-profile June primary in a district anchored by Boulder and Fort Collins. Trader consensus at 95% for Democrats aligns with the district's structural advantages and absence of competitive polling or fundraising signals for the GOP challenger. Scenarios that could narrow the gap include an unforeseen national Republican wave, late scandal involving the incumbent, or health-related withdrawal, though historical base rates in similar safe seats make such shifts rare before November.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
