Current National Weather Service and model consensus for Miami on September 22 point to a daytime high in the upper 80s amid persistent tropical moisture and south-southeast flow, with scattered to numerous afternoon thunderstorms likely. These conditions create narrow margins between 86–89°F outcomes, as storm timing and cloud cover can cap peak temperatures or allow brief breaks for stronger diurnal heating. Historical September averages near 86°F provide context, while the absence of nearby tropical systems reduces outlier risks. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon model runs tomorrow morning represent key data points that could shift trader-implied probabilities ahead of resolution.
