Recent forecast models from GFS and ECMWF indicate a frontal passage over Moscow on September 5 will bring increased cloud cover, scattered rain or thunderstorms, and southwesterly winds, capping daytime highs near 16–18°C and suppressing the warmer conditions seen earlier in the week. This aligns with climatological September averages around 17°C, where precipitation and reduced insolation typically limit peak temperatures. Trader consensus reflects this tight cluster, with 17°C and 18°C leading due to model agreement on modest warming potential before the system arrives, while acknowledging uncertainty from variable rainfall timing or slight shifts in steering flow that could nudge the daily maximum by 1–2°C. Updated model runs on September 4 will provide further clarity ahead of market resolution.
