Recent polling in Minas Gerais, a pivotal swing state, shows a tight first-round contest for the October 4 presidential election, with incumbent Lula (PT) at 39% and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) at 35% in a Real Time Big Data survey conducted September 16–19. The four-point gap falls within the margin of error, consistent with trader pricing that assigns Lula a modest lead while keeping multiple contenders near even odds. Lower-polling names such as Augusto Cury, Romeu Zema, and Renan Santos register in single digits and have not shifted the frontrunner dynamic. No major campaign events or institutional rulings have emerged in the past week to alter regional voter alignments ahead of the vote.
