Recent National Weather Service and private forecasts for Los Angeles on September 6 indicate overnight lows near 70–72°F, driven by increased cloud cover and a 40% chance of showers that limit radiative cooling. These conditions, combined with record-warm nearshore sea surface temperatures linked to a strengthening El Niño, reduce the typical nocturnal drop associated with the marine layer. Trader consensus clusters on 68–73°F ranges because model runs differ on exact cloud timing and marine layer depth, while historical September 6 lows average 64°F. Upcoming NWS updates and afternoon model cycles will likely refine these probabilities before market resolution.
