Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate overnight lows in the mid-60s for Los Angeles on September 5, driven by moderate onshore flow from the Pacific and a shallow marine layer that limits radiational cooling under partly to mostly clear skies. Recent observations show minimum temperatures of 61–66°F, aligning with the climatological average low near 64.5°F and supporting the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 64–67°F. Key differentiating factors include small forecast variations in wind speed, dewpoint depression, and any residual evening cloud cover that could alter the exact minimum by 1–2°F. No significant synoptic shifts or tropical moisture intrusions are expected to disrupt this pattern before the measurement window closes.
