Recent National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model runs indicate overnight lows in Seattle on September 12 will likely settle in the mid-50s°F amid increasing onshore marine flow and an upper-level trough deepening offshore. This setup favors persistent cloud cover that limits radiational cooling while light winds and higher humidity moderate temperature drops, keeping the daily minimum near the 1991–2020 climatological average of 53.7°F. Trader sentiment remains split because small forecast adjustments in dew points, wind speed, or cloud thickness could easily shift the low by a few degrees either side of 55°F, with 47°F or below and 66°F-plus both carrying meaningful implied probability. Updated short-range model runs and NWS briefings through early Friday will provide the next key data points ahead of resolution.
