The Parti Québécois maintains a commanding position in trader assessments for the October 5, 2026 Quebec general election due to consistent polling leads near 30% and its decisive edge among Francophone voters, which concentrates support in key ridings under the first-past-the-post system. Recent surveys from Léger and Pallas Data show the PQ ahead of the PLQ and CAQ, with the latter two parties splitting the federalist vote and limiting their seat potential despite combined support levels. The CAQ's sharp decline under new leader Christine Fréchette, ongoing voter indecision near 50%, and PQ by-election gains have reinforced this outlook. Smaller parties remain marginal in projections.
