Lula holds a narrow lead in Amapá first-round trading at 55.5% implied probability, with Flávio Bolsonaro at 44.5% and all other registered candidates below 1%. National polling aggregators through mid-September show the two frontrunners separated by low single digits, a pattern mirrored in Amapá-specific surveys from July and August that placed Lula at 36% and Flávio Bolsonaro at 31-33%. The contest remains tight due to entrenched partisan polarization, roughly even government approval ratings in the state, and limited support for center-right alternatives such as Ronaldo Caiado or Romeu Zema. Upcoming campaign events, including televised interviews and final voter mobilization before the October 4 vote, could shift preferences among undecided or late-deciding blocs in this closely divided electorate.
