The race for second place in Paraná's 2026 Senate election remains tightly contested among multiple candidates, reflecting fragmented voter preferences behind frontrunner Álvaro Dias. Recent Genial/Quaest and other surveys show Alexandre Curi (Republicanos), Deltan Dallagnol (Novo), Gleisi Hoffmann (PT), and Filipe Barros (PL) clustered within a few points in the low teens, with Dr. Rosinha and others also registering measurable support. This distribution stems from distinct regional bases, party alliances tied to Governor Ratinho Júnior, and varying name recognition from prior legislative or federal roles. No single contender has consolidated the anti-Dias vote, and upcoming party conventions or further polling releases could shift momentum by clarifying alliances or highlighting eligibility questions still pending with electoral authorities. Traders price this uncertainty through closely matched contracts on the leading names.
