The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day by the Forecast for the Helsinki Vantaa Airport Station once information is finalized, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/fi/vantaa/EFHK. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve to "Yes" until all data for this date has been finalized. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Official observations from the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) confirm Helsinki's surface temperature peaked at 18°C around midday on May 13, amid a brief spell of clearer skies and light southerly winds that allowed diurnal heating consistent with early May climatology, where average highs hover near 15–16°C. Current readings have fallen to 10–12°C under increasing cloud cover and showers, with sunset nearing 21:50 local time limiting further warming potential per FMI and ECMWF model consensus. Trader sentiment reflects this skin-in-the-game assessment, pricing 19°C or higher at near-zero implied probability. A realistic challenge would require improbable sudden clearing for late-afternoon solar insolation to push boundaries, though low sun angle and persistent clouds make it unlikely.
