The verified minimum temperature at New York City's official Central Park station on September 12, 2026, settled in the 66–67 °F range, producing the market's near-certain 100 % pricing on that bin. Overnight radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies and light winds kept temperatures from dropping to the seasonal 62–63 °F average or the lower values suggested by earlier model guidance. National Weather Service observations, cross-checked against nearby automated stations, confirmed the reading with negligible uncertainty. A post-event data revision or use of an alternate reporting site could theoretically shift the outcome, though such changes are historically rare for this well-monitored urban station once the preliminary climatological report is issued.
