PL leads trader consensus for the Chamber of Deputies winner due to its alignment with Senator Flávio Bolsonaro’s presidential candidacy, aggressive candidate recruitment across states, and established right-leaning voter base ahead of the October 4, 2026 vote. The party currently holds the largest bloc in the 513-seat lower house under Brazil’s open-list proportional representation system and stands to gain coattails from national polarization. UPB, the federation of União Brasil and Progressistas, trails as the main center-right alternative with consolidated regional strength. Recent polling shows a tight presidential contest between incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro, yet legislative forecasts favor PL’s organizational edge; no major shifts from scandals, alliances, or policy developments have altered this positioning in the past month.
