Differentiating factors include urban heat island amplification in Tokyo, southerly temperature advection, and solar insolation variability; fuller sunshine could push beyond 30°C (38.5% implied probability), while increased cloudiness favors 29°C (32.0%) or 28°C (16.5%). JMA's next update and hourly observations will refine this uncertain short-range outlook against mid-May climatological averages near 24°C.
