Republican incumbent Michael Rulli holds a commanding position in the Ohio 6th congressional district race, reflected in the 93.5% trader consensus for the Republican Party. The district's rural and Appalachian character, combined with its voting history, favors Republicans, as shown by Rulli's 66.7% victory in 2024. He secured the nomination comfortably in the May 2026 primary, while Democrat Elizabeth Kirtley emerged from a crowded field but faces structural headwinds in a seat rated solidly Republican by forecasters. Limited recent developments have altered the landscape, with no major scandals or shifts in voter sentiment reported. A national Democratic surge, significant fundraising gap closure, or unforeseen candidate-specific issues could narrow margins, though historical patterns suggest these remain low-probability paths to an upset before November.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
