Lula maintains a lead in trader consensus for first place in Amazonas' October 2026 presidential first round, reflecting consistent polling advantages in the state's interior municipalities and historical patterns favoring the incumbent PT candidate there. Recent surveys, including Real Time Big Data and Quaest from late August, show Lula at 38-40% versus Flávio Bolsonaro at 35-39%, with the pair capturing the vast majority of intentions while others like Renan Santos, Pablo Marçal, Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, and Augusto Cury remain in single digits. An early September AtlasIntel poll indicated a narrow Flávio edge, yet traders appear to weigh Lula's broader regional base and incumbency more heavily. Fringe candidates register negligible support, keeping probabilities low. The race remains competitive within margins of error ahead of the October 4 vote.
