Vitaly Korolev holds a commanding lead in the Tver Oblast gubernatorial election market as the acting governor appointed by President Vladimir Putin in November 2025 and the United Russia nominee. He assumed the post after Igor Rudenya’s reassignment and is running for a full term in the September 18–20 vote alongside candidates from LDPR, Communists of Russia, A Just Russia, CPRF, and smaller parties. Kremlin support for the acting incumbent, combined with United Russia’s organizational resources and typical outcomes in Russian regional contests, underpins trader consensus on his position. The election coincides with legislative and federal parliamentary voting on the common election day. Late developments such as a major scandal, health issue, or abrupt withdrawal remain the primary theoretical scenarios that could alter the outcome before polls close.
