This market will resolve according to the winner of the Democratic Primary for United States Senator from Maine. If no 2026 Maine Democratic Senate Primary takes place, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be the first announcement of the results from the Maine Democratic party, however an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may suffice.Graham Platner holds overwhelming trader consensus in the Maine Democratic Senate primary due to his sustained large leads in recent polls and the April 30 suspension of Governor Janet Mills’ campaign. Polling throughout spring consistently placed the oyster farmer and Marine veteran 20 to 38 points ahead of Mills, who struggled with fundraising and message traction despite national Democratic support. With Mills out and remaining candidates trailing far behind, Platner has redirected resources toward the November general election matchup against Republican Senator Susan Collins. The June 9 primary date still stands, yet late developments such as unforeseen controversies or shifts in voter turnout among key Democratic blocs represent the narrow pathways that could still affect the outcome before ballots are cast.
