Recent National Weather Service observations and model runs positioned trader consensus around a 56-57°F low for Chicago on September 13 due to northerly winds and partial cloud cover following a weak frontal passage, which limited radiative cooling overnight. Official Chicago O'Hare data recorded a minimum of 61°F at 6:17 a.m. CDT after a daytime high of 75°F, slightly above the 1991-2020 normal low of 59°F. Implied probabilities reflect pre-event forecast guidance emphasizing breezy conditions that moderated the typical September diurnal range, with limited model spread supporting the narrow 56-57°F bin as the mode. Updated observations and verification data will finalize market resolution against these thresholds.
