Recent polls for the September 20 Berlin state election show CDU support hovering near 19-20 percent amid a fragmented field led by Die Linke, followed closely by AfD and the Greens. This positioning, coupled with the late July leadership transition from Kai Wegner to Stefan Evers, has kept projected CDU seat totals in the low-to-mid 20s range under the proportional system. Voter concerns over housing costs, security, and recent infrastructure issues continue to split preferences across multiple parties, sustaining uncertainty in final tallies. Developments such as late-campaign shifts in turnout among swing blocs or clearer coalition signals could widen gaps in the coming weeks.
