The Democratic primary will take place on May 19, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democrat sources, including https://democrats.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Recent endorsements and a general election poll have strengthened Zach Dembo’s position heading into the May 19 Democratic primary for Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District. The Lexington Herald-Leader endorsed Dembo for his combination of federal prosecutorial experience, military service as a Navy JAG officer, and ability to appeal across the district. Former U.S. Representative Ben Chandler, the last Democrat to hold the seat, along with former Lexington Mayor Jim Gray and the National Education Association, have also backed Dembo.
