To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Slovenia; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Janez Janša holds a commanding position in Slovenia's ongoing government formation process following the March 2026 parliamentary election, where his Slovenian Democratic Party secured 28 seats just behind Robert Golob's Freedom Movement. Golob's subsequent failure to assemble a coalition in April prompted him to concede opposition status, shifting momentum toward Janša's right-leaning bloc and smaller centre-right partners capable of reaching the 46-seat majority threshold. Traders' consensus at 93.7 percent reflects expectations of his imminent nomination by lawmakers and National Assembly confirmation. Potential challenges include final coalition sticking points, partner withdrawals, or parliamentary defeat that could trigger renewed talks or snap elections.
