This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Democratic Party to contest the FL-24 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Democratic primary will take place on August 18, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democrat sources, including https://democrats.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market. The crowded field in Florida's 24th Congressional District Democratic primary has produced evenly matched probabilities because no single candidate has consolidated support following incumbent Frederica Wilson's April 2026 retirement announcement. Multiple local officeholders and business figures, including former Miami Gardens mayor Oliver Gilbert III, state Sen. Shevrin Jones, and Jean Monestime, each bring established name recognition and fundraising networks across northern Miami-Dade and southern Broward. Recent candidate forums have centered on shared priorities such as housing costs and economic pressures without clear differentiation. With the August primary still weeks away and vote fragmentation likely in this heavily Democratic open-seat contest, trader consensus reflects the absence of polling leads or decisive endorsements that could shift momentum toward any contender.
