Sweden’s September 13 parliamentary election produced a seat distribution that placed the Centre Party fifth among the eight parties clearing the 4% threshold. With 99.9% of votes counted, Centre secured 25 seats on 7.0% of the vote, ahead of the Christian Democrats and Greens on 22 seats each and the Liberals on 19. This ranking reflects stable pre-election polling trends in which Centre consistently polled between the Left Party’s stronger showing and the smaller parties clustered near the threshold. Late-arriving overseas and advance ballots have not altered the order to date. A reversal would require an unprecedented recount outcome or disqualification affecting multiple smaller parties, neither of which has precedent in recent Swedish elections.
